5 Podcasts for Fashion Entrepreneurs

Nowadays it seems like literally everyone and their neighbour is launching a podcast. It looks like the podcast has replaced the good old Instagram scrolling on your way to work.

For entrepreneurs, podcasts are a great way to both learn and be entertained. From productivity to entrepreneurship and mindfulness, podcasts are a quick and fun way to get your daily dose of knowledge.

Being up to date with what's going on is especially important when working in fashion, an industry which, we all know, changes very fast.

Even though I don't commute to work anymore as I work freelance, I still listen to podcasts regularly.

So, I've listed 5 of the podcasts I love as a female entrepreneur in the fashion industry.

The Business of Fashion Podcast

The Business of Fashion is THE bible for fashion professionals. It's THE source of information about what's happening in the industry. I receive their newsletter daily and go on the website every day; the Business of Fashion is indispensable. Their podcast is very business-related, but it covers a wide range of issues and topics surrounding the fashion industry. They also have great interviews!

Wardrobe Crisis

Clare Press is a fashion journalist, sustainability editor-at-large for Vogue Australia and author of the books Wardrobe Crisis and Rise and Resist. In her podcast, she deconstructs the fashion industry and highlights all the current debates around sustainability, ethics and consumerism. I had the pleasure to meet Clare at a couple of events while I was in Sydney and her podcast is an excellent source of information on ethical and sustainable fashion.

Girlboss Radio with Sophia Amoruso

Hosted by Sophia Amoruso, CEO and founder of Girlboss, an online network of female entrepreneurs and Neha Gandhi, the editor in chief and COO, Girlboss Radio tells the real story of successful women and what it takes to grow a business. It's not specifically focused on fashion, but it does cover a wide range of topics and interview women from different creative industries. A very inspiring and brutally honest (but in a funny way) podcast, which I really like.

The BossBabe Podcast

Another network of female entrepreneurs, BossBabe is one of my go-to sources of inspiration and information. Natalie Ellis and Danielle Canty, the founders, have recently launched the BossBabe podcast, in which they share the real behind the scenes of building successful businesses, achieving peak performance and learning how to balance it all. The podcast is funny and raw, just like listening to your best friend giving you advice.

TED Talks Daily

I love TED Talks. You get to hear thought-provoking ideas on every subject imaginable given by the world's leading thinkers and doers. But I don't always have the time to watch videos, so TED Talks daily is a cool way for me to go TED Talks on the go.
